In Memory of My Father

This quilt was made in memory of my father, C. Guy Keen. I presented it to my mother who was 86 years old back in May. My mother was so pleased, as you can imagine. Several people recognized her photo on the quilt. For years I've had Daddy's little boy scout jacket from 1920 and didn't know how I wanted to use it in a quilt until I saw some of your work. Thanks for the inspiration.

After I gave her the quilt I "borrowed" it back to enter in our local art museum's annual People's Choice Exhibit. It hung for one month and received more votes than any other piece of art! I won a blue ribbon in the fiber category and a second place over all and was presented with a check for $150!
