Received the Invisible Applique I ordered from you. I know I'll enjoy exploring the possibilities of the ladder stitch! Receiving the book prodded me to track down the photos of my in-law's 50th anniversary quilt, pictured here.
The photos in the center of the quilt are mostly black and white and are of the original family. Encircling these are photos of spouses and grandchildren, which are mostly in color. The blank muslin spaces were left this way so that photos taken at the 50th anniversary party could be added later. There is also a musical button sewn into a pocket, it plays "The Anniversary Waltz." I have received long distance phone calls from guests at the party who saw the quilt and were interested in getting one. I always recommend your book to them. (My son, Jon, is holding the quilt.)
