If you haven't already, please read Part 3 before beginning Part 4
Layer one of your Light squares right sides together with one of your Medium squares. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of the diagonal line you drew during Part 1. See Diagram left. Please Note: Diagrams intentionally show both your Medium and your Light fabrics for illustration purposes only. Normally they would not be offset like this. |
Using your rotary cutting equipment, cut on the diagonal line. See Diagram right. |
Press seam allowances on the resulting half-square triangle units toward your Medium fabric(s). You should now have 48 (80) [120] large, half-square triangle units which measure 6 1/2" square unfinished.
