Jessica Fourpatch's Case #113

Join Jessica FourPatch for another romp into the unknown (for awhile, that is!) as you make this jazzy quilt top in your choice of three different sizes. It will keep you busy, but bar none - you'll have a great quilt top to show for it!

Part 4

Go back and find the 6 7/8" Light and Medium squares which you cut during Part 1 of this series. Make sure you drew the diagonal lines on the wrong side of each Light square as instructed during Part 1 of this series.

Layer one of your Light squares right sides together with one of your Medium squares. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of the diagonal line you drew during Part 1. See Diagram left. Please Note: Diagrams intentionally show both your Medium and your Light fabrics for illustration purposes only. Normally they would not be offset like this.

Using your rotary cutting equipment, cut on the diagonal line. See Diagram right.

Press seam allowances on the resulting half-square triangle units toward your Medium fabric(s). You should now have 48 (80) [120] large, half-square triangle units which measure 6 1/2" square unfinished.
