I recently introduced someone to the world of sewing machines and sewing.
Simple bedding to donate to animal shelters. She has hardly stopped long
enough to eat. Up till 1 AM, up again at 5 and on the machine. I want to
send her the little ditty about doing dishes, putting on make up, having
your nails and hair just so. I tried a google search and just cannot find
it. I think it is from an old Singer book? If someone could send me that, I
would be very grateful.

Loved the layout of the parts charts at
http://www.singer-featherweight.com/partspages/partnumbers.html that
Graham sent us. I can spent hours surfing for sewing machine info and
love every minute of it, but the dishes are still in the sink, so time
is sometimes limited! I have looked for wiring and motor pictures and
helpful information on that, and wonder if anyone else has found a good
site.
I have succeeded in putting a 15-91 motor into my beautiful 201, but
wiring the 3 pronged terminal (male) (part 192797 on the chart) was a
bear- I had too many fingers or something. I draw a chart of anything I
take apart and I can usually read what I wrote when I put it all back.
DH and I have fixed a broken wire in the lamp of one of my machines (an
old 99), but have not tried changing out the wiring from the lamp to the
3 pronged post. The service manuals are great, but they are short on
"hints", occasionally. If you come across any sites with more
information on wiring, please clue me in! Thanks, Christy on the farm
in GA -PS- I love my Featherweights best :)

Subject: model numbers!

Hi;
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a great New Year! ! !
I occasionally read notes from fellow FWF's, mentioning the different
FW's, and have wondered if someone out there can answer a question for
me. What is the difference between a 221-l, a 221K1, 221K4 and a 221K5?
Where on the machine do you find these numbers?
TIA,
Dorothy in rural Bland, Mo.
