Re: Richard's 221 skipping stitches.

Sounds like you've done everything right so far. It's conceivable that
the timing has slipped, or perhaps the needle bar has moved. Worst case
would be a bent or broken hook point.

Re; packing instructions

I have a series of photos of a 221 being packed correctly. Be happy to
mail them to anyone.

Hello,

What is a brand name of some of the newer oils that are superior? And
where are they available?

What do you OSMG's think of them? =20

Sharon, I don't mean to cast doubt on your information, but I am proud
of my machines and cautious before using anything on them that an OSMG
doesn't approve of.

I usually lurk and seldom post because it seems no matter what you post
someone is always unhappy about it. Periodically someone wants to complain
about off topic items, misspelled words, poor English, anything that even
slightly
hints of religion, questions about what something is worth, mention of things
for sale on the digest, ad nauseum. Sorry, but I dare say most people on
this list lead busy lives. Most of the time the "subject" line does, in fact,
give enough info to decide whether to read or scroll on by. Now I'll batten
down the hatches and prepare for the onslaught 'cause I can see where this is
going...again.

Subject: pattern for table extension ?

Happy, healthy New Year everyone. I rarely see an extension table for the FW
for sale. I wanted to know if anyone knows of a set of pattern instructions
and or hardware to make one. I love to make my own tools, etc., and thought I
would make one for now and maybe someday find an original. Thanks. Joan

Subject: subject titles

The comments about subject titles are much appreciated. I, too, find
that I will never have time to sew if I read everything on the sewing
letters to which I subscribe. Just "FW" or the date of the message to
which the writer is replying, don't help a bit. If any of you have
time, scan the subject titles, and you will see what I mean. Thanks.

When everything else fails check needle height and clearance to the hook.
