Subject: Mölnlycke Thread - auction URL goof

When I posted pm FW for sale last Sunday I mentioned a link on M=F6lnlyck=
e
thread that was in the text of my auction. I goofed with the URL to my
auction and some of you asked me how they could find out about the
thread. For those who asked - and for those who wondered - here is the
link to the thread.

No affiliation, I put this on my web site because I am just a really
happy customer. I recommend this dealer highly. Not only is he a great
source for the thread, but has a literal archive of parts and really
knows his stuff.

Will the 600 attachments (cams etc.) fit the Rocketeer? They look like they fit and I would be thrilled to have more cams! I came across the 600 accessories boxes at the Rescue Mission for $2.00 and bought them. Any thoughts?

Also, does anyone know anything about old Kenmores? If not, do you know where I can get some info? I have a box of monograms and I don't know exactly how they work--do they need to be on a specific machine or are they used on a contraption like their plastic buttonholer attachment?

Go to Krisi Santilla's site, http://www.erols.com/santilla/
click on FW Survey (long version), scroll (sorry) down to the face plate section and click on the highlighted title to see pictures of the different plates. She has great pictures to aid in identifying the correct pieces a machine should have and I use the info on her birthdating pages almost daily.

Subject: Back to treadle?

After a long time with no electricity in NJ due to Floyd and since I am
moving to rural Vermont soon, I want to change my grandmother's 1915 model
15 back to a treadle again. My father electrified it many many years ago
with a motor attached to the back.

I am not an electrical genius. Are there directions written out on any
website? Besides buying the long leather piece, what do I do next?

recovered or gone home

Subject: Thread Needleplate.

Anyone have any experience in finding a needle plate with seam guides?
If so, how good are they? Would the chrome plating put on them change the
configuration in any way.
My mom will be home from heart surgery most likely monday and I would like to
get her something she really wants.
Thanks,
Tessie

Hi all,

You have one more week to get your Millennium Quilt
Blocks to me. I have 30 packets here already, and at
least that many promised!! Don't give up now--you
still have one marathon weekend left to get them done!
Just give your machines a chance--they will pull you
through and get them done in time.

Subject: Mystery machine no longer a mystery

Next installment: Cleaning off my desk and came across the Sept 8th Penny
Saver and wondered if the lady had sold the machine as yet, so just on a
whim, I dialed her number.

When she answered I said to her, Do you still have the machine? Again she
recognized my voice and said just a minute I will look and see if there is a
number. She came back to the phone and said, "No there is no number on the
machine" I asked is the book in one of the drawers? She said, "I am
looking. Here it is it is a 328."

She then said "I can't talk to you any more I am expecting a buyer to come
look at my house," so I said good by and hung up.

Lately I have been download pictures of machines off Ebay, and other web
sites to compile a picture book of the machines I am not familiar with. No
pictures of a 328. so I went on Yahoo and posted my problem and Woodenspools
posted a picture from her archives, not only showing the machine, but the
retail price at the time.

Now I have to decide if I want to persue the matter further. If not, would
this machine and Danish modern 3 drawer desk in Southern California, Canoga
Park area, be of interest to anyone? The lady might finally be serious about
selling.
