The Watercolor Inspirations Fabric Collection

"Watercolor Inspirations by Pat Magaret and Donna Slusser© for SSI"™

Patricia and Donna work with South Sea Imports, a division of MM Fab, to create a line of fabric for use in watercolor quilts. These beautiful prints have also been used in traditional quiltmaking projects, as well as for garments and home decorating. Each program comes out approximately once a year and contains a variety of light, medium and dark florals. There are some darker tone-on-tone prints that make wonderful borders for watercolor quilts. Did you know that on the end of each bolt of fabric there is a label that describes how the fabric can be used when making a watercolor quilt? Categories are: smoothy, freckle, reachy, garden party, petals, allover, leaves, walk the garden and borders. Of course, you are free to let you dreams and imaginations tell you how to use each fabric!

The fourth program is now coming into the shops. Some designs from the first three programs can still be found on the shelves. Here are some swatches from the new program---a leaf print, florals in various scales and color schemes, and a pictorial print, "Old Mill Stream". Log Cabin Dry Goods mail order company also has photos of some of our fabrics on their web site, http://members.aol.com/logcabin.

A set of six labels was a part of the third program. They are still available in shops and can be used in a variety of projects: photo frames, greeting cards, garments, quilts, or .........???? We have seen so many unique uses for these labels we decided to feature them in a contest. Get the information from Exciting News -- Labels Contest! and enter today!

A new program of fabric will debut at International Quilt Market in Houston in October. We are especially excited about the prints in this collection. It is our favorite group so far. Lots of reachies and petal fabrics, plus some smoothies. Oh yes, and a set of six new labels that we are showing you on this web page to whet your appetite!
