ANSWERS TO OTHER QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE:

Think of this as a huge pvc quilting frame...that stands on runners.

The black dashes you see on the picture are the clips, similar to the white ones used in the hand held frames. These hard to find items are what allows the flannel to be snugly held to the PVC frame.

Directions are for an 84" w x 76" h wall, but you may easily customize the size to fit your needs by adding or subtracting to the size of the PVC pipe. If you want to reduce the width to 64", simply subtract 20" from the horizontal figure provided.

You will need to purchase 4 - 10 ft. pcs. of PVC pipe and some fittings....shop around for the best price, appx. cost around $25.00. (Purchasing PVC in 10 ft pcs is the most economical) These pieces are cut into the appropriate lengths and following the diagram provided, fitted together to make the frame. Most hardware or building supply stores can cut the pipe for you for little or no cost but it is easily cut with a hand saw.

You'll also need to purchase the flannel.

I leave my wall up all the time....since I always seem to have something on it. Actually, if you pin the designs and don't mind the horizontal support bar in the middle of the back, you can use both sides. The floor runners can be turned sideways to allow the frame to fit closer to a wall (mine sits in front of a bookcase &when I need to move it I just slide it out of the way). The wall comes apart for storage but you may find you never want to bother! ,

Use the Design Wall to provide a plain background when photographing your work.
