Grandma's Porch

Grandma's Porch was designed and pieced by Judy Martin and quilted by Jean Nolte in 1996. The block is one of Judy's orginals. The "Garden Maze" setting is a traditional favorite. The quilt is handsomely framed with a "Double Ribbon Border." The oak leaf and acorn quilting motifs were designed by Judy especially for this quilt.

The Grandma's Porch blocks, setting, and borders are made from a variety of patch sizes and shapes, including prisms, diamonds, trapezoids, parallelograms, and more. The quilt is somewhat involved, due to the number of shapes. However, using Judy Martin's Ultimate Rotary Tools, each shape is simple to cut.

Judy's Fancy

Judy's Fancy was designed and pieced by Judy Martin and quilted by Barbara Ford in 1995. The block and set are Judy's orginals. The "LeMoyne Star" border block is a traditional favorite. The swirling quilting motifs were designed by Barbara Ford especially for this quilt.
